The Grampian Quest for me is the iconic image of a trawler still showing the ravages of being battered in the Northern Oceans and Seas in its quest for large fishing quotas.The painting unwittingly reveals the move from fishing industries to tourism and the transition of an uncomfortable boat into a floating luxury house boat which it eventually became.
