Life down Prince Street was some of avoiding reversing lorries, stationary wagons waiting to unload and mucky puddles of petrol oil from leaking motor engines.

After the war people still lived down the street but many in the area were dispersed to find accommodation elsewhere due to unsafe or demolished houses caused by war damage.
