My Great Grandad James Reynolds was a mariner who sailed round Cape Horn before owning the grocer shop in Dagger Lane.Tall ships would have been a familiar sight to him.

I always thought Hull Old Town could be cut off from the rest of the City by raising all its bridges!Surrounded by water with docks formed from the original moat, I thought Old Hull was like a Northern Venice!
