I've always been fascinatedby the fronts of the buildings on the River Hull.Every part of their fabric was a testament to their change of use due to the changing needs of the people/firms who used them.

I've also loved the play of light on wood, brick, stone and water.I used to imagine the conversations of the workmen taking 'rests' from very physical jobs.Football, Rugby and dog racing must have been regular topics.
