About
During Lockdown I have used my garden as a wonderful source of inspiration.
I'm afraid the enforced restrictions on travel have clipped my wings somewhat!!!
However, it's been a great opportunity to see the garden seasonally.
The resulting paintings I think, seem to have a less figurative approach with more emphasis on relationships between shapes and colours.
I've enjoyed this loose style and an expansion of tools besides traditional paintbrushes.
I am loving the resulting effects and I hope you do too!
My oil painting of irises is a combination of iris head shapes, colours and contrasting movements between the different plants striving for light.
